Does POIS work with Android or non-AirPods headphones?
No. POIS needs an iPhone and compatible AirPods. It reads the motion sensors in your AirPods through Apple’s software, which other phones and headphones don’t provide.

Can I listen to music while POIS is running?
Yes. Your music keeps playing. When POIS plays its sound, your music dips for a moment so you can hear it, then carries on.
What happens during phone calls?
POIS stays silent while you’re on a call.
Does POIS work while walking?
Yes. POIS is designed for sitting, standing and walking.
How much battery does POIS use?
We’re measuring POIS’s battery use across ordinary days and will publish the results here.
What if my AirPod shifts in my ear?
If an AirPod moves, POIS may notice the change and suggest setting your position again. It takes a few seconds: look forward naturally.
Why does POIS sometimes stay quiet?
By design. A glance at your phone, a menu or a map passes in silence; POIS only makes a sound when your head stays down for a while. It also stays quiet while you’re using your phone and during calls. When it isn’t sure, it stays quiet.
Privacy and health
Does POIS upload my motion data?

Does POIS measure my spine or full posture?
No. POIS measures the angle of your head, using the motion sensors in your AirPods, compared with how you naturally hold it. It doesn’t measure your spine, neck or shoulders, and it doesn’t assess your posture as a whole.
Is POIS a medical device?
No. POIS isn’t a medical device. It doesn’t diagnose, treat or prevent any condition.
Subscription
How does the subscription work?
POIS starts with a 3-day free trial. After that it’s €5.99 a month or €39.99 a year ($5.99 and $39.99 in the US), billed through your Apple ID. In other countries the App Store shows your local price before you subscribe. You can manage or cancel at any time in your iPhone’s Settings.
